Veera Jokitalo

Veera Jokitalo (b. 1993) is a Finnish visual artist currently living and working in Tampere. She mainly works with oil painting and movement / dance, and is currently expanding her study to more sculptural media, such as stone and clay.

Jokitalo’s working methods are body-centered, as she explores the relationship between human and the environment, aiming to highlight both its complexity and harmony by merging contrasting aspects in her works. With her background in movement and dance practices, she is inspired by movement, embodiment, and nature, and strives to incorporate body-aware approaches into her artistic process.
